about
'Wandering Child' follows the story of Father
Bernard and his battle with an ancient curse in
medieval England. His battle is short lived as
the curse consumes him making him immortal
and still causing havoc on modern day life.
The lyrics follow almost as a fable that has been
passed down through generations however this
legend turns out to be true. 'From Demons' follows
the rest of 'Father Bernard's' story in a modern day
setting with deep metaphors relating back to part of
the members lives and the state of the world as a
whole.
'Wandering Child' hails a darker sound for
'Struck/Down' moving away from their hard rock
roots as they explore newer sounds and a bigger
emphasis on a DIY approach to fuel their passion and
creativity.
lyrics
Way down in the mouth of the devil
At the heart of the mountain caves
The stalagmite giant calls me
Leads my path astray
The church sent a priest to reason
Father Bernard made his way
Guided by candle that lost its light
His faith in God shows the way
He confronted the witch with no mercy
Said demon be gone I say
Stop causing the valley heartache
Holy water will cleanse your hate
The Wicked witch turned to stone
The town was saved
Wookey Hole was baptized
From the evil filthy stain
Her blood was spilled on stone
Don't doubt that it still runs
This isn't the first foe she's faced
Its just the first to make it home
As time passed and multiplied
Goings on had changed
No curse had been lifted
The sun had frozen to a morbid grey
Crops had burnt
Every day breeds pain
The evil bestowed upon this land
Will forever remain
The Wicked witch turned to stone
The town was saved
Wookey hole was baptized
From the evil filthy stain
Her blood was spilled on stone
Don't doubt that it still runs
This isn't the first foe she's faced
Its just the first to make it home
The beast doesn't suffer fools
Why would she have suffered you
All that bleeds can be killed
And so the curse remains
Come to me wandering child
Let me feed and shelter you
Don't worry you'll be home
This will all be over soon
